Charm and Good Looks

All of the major characters in Reborn! wear several different outfits, however each character has a certain style around which his or her clothing is based. In early arcs, most of the characters wore their school uniforms but as time goes on more about each character's personal style can be seen.

Of course, Yamamoto's appearance is not all about his clothing. Yamamoto has black hair that sticks up into spikes without being styled. His hair is also short enough that it doesn't seem ridiculous or defy gravity. His eyes are a honey brown and are warm and friendly outside of battle. He is always seen with a smile on his face and is usually almost a head taller than his peers. In the Future Arc we get a glimpse of Yamamoto's adult self, while most of his features remained the same, his eyes are more severe and his bears a scar on his chin that looks like it was made by a blade.

Daily, Kokuyo, and Varia Arcs

During the first few arcs, Yamamoto wears white button up shirts with a brighly colored t-shirt underneath. These white shirts are also a part of the Namimori school uniform so it is not surprising he has so many of them, of course leaving the tops unbuttoned would make Hibari cringe if he saw them. Yamamoto's undershirts are almost always either red or blue. He usually wears a belt with black pants or jeans and a pair of running shoes. These clothes are probably the ones he wears under his school uniform. The uniform also consists of a sweater or sweater-vest that is promptly lost when the boys go off to right battles after school as is done during the first three arcs. Yamamoto's clothing doesn't stand out much against his fellow guardians as most of them wear some variation of their school uniform during these arcs. It isn't until the future arc when they're not actively attending school that they their personalities really reflect their clothes.

Future, Inheritance, and Acrobaleno Arcs

During the later arcs, Yamamoto and the others take the time to save their family by skipping out on school. While this is highly irresponsible becoming a mafia boss and saving their city, which often serves as a backdrop for these battles, is more important. Yamamoto wears casual clothes during these arcs when outside of school. These outfits are fairly consistent and show his fondness for thick puffy collars on his jacket and/or vest. Yamamoto's shirts are still solid as far as colors go; though they now feature an additional graphic on the t-shirt with writing that is illegible. His jackets on the other hand are often bright colors such as red or green. Yamamoto continues the tread of wearing black slacks or jeans along with a belt and his running shoes. This more casual attire is also reflected by the other guardians during these arcs. None of them are limited to their school uniforms so they all seem to wear more exciting clothes.

Cambio Forma and Other Outfits

In addition to his regular outfits, Yamamoto gains an additional constume during the Inheritance Arc when Talbot offers to repair the Vongola rings. The replacement rings, when awakened by the will of the one who holds them gains a new form suited to the user's fighting style. Yamamoto's appears as a necklace in future arcs which becomes the only accessory he wears. In battle his gear, known as Vongola Gear, causes his clothing to change to a hakama with arm and foot guards protecting them and black bandages covering his chest. Outside of battle, during official Vongola functions Yamamoto Takeshi can be seen where a traditional black suit fitted to his body, a tie, and a colored shirt, usually blue to reflect his position as rain guardian.
